Women are always so body positive. Well, maybe it’s time for men to be too. Especially since women prefer men with a little cushion for the pushin’. A new study coming out of Yale University states that women are more attracted to dudes with a little more meat on their bones and who flaunt a dad bods.
Richard Bribiescas, a professor of anthropology at Yale University, claims “pudgy” middle-aged men are healthier than testosterone-driven men in their 20s and 30s. Sorry young guns. The reason for the attraction is that fathers who are carrying a little extra weight live longer and have better relationships with their children. The study also found that middle-aged men with children are better at passing on their genes to their children, thus a better mate.
In his research, Bribiescas claims there is evidence that older, slightly chubby men are less likely to suffer from heart attacks and prostate cancer. He also argues that robust dudes have increased levels of fat which could make them more attractive to women and they invest more their time with their children instead of looking for other women.
In Bribiescas’ book “How Men Age,” he believes that chubby men with dad bods have better immune systems due to lower levels of testosterone.
So there you have it fellas, having a dad bod doesn’t have to be a death sentence to your sex life, and in fact, could have all the ladies trying to get in between you and your nachos grande and your six-pack of Leinenkugel.
