On April 18th of this year, a deadly avalanche struck Mount Everest, killing 16 Sherpas preparing for the upcoming climbing season.
The website EverestAvalancheTragedy.com, by the Discovery Channel, is hoping to raise money for the Sherpa Family Fund. Included on the site is a virtual trip up Mount Everest, which is breathtaking, giving you an idea of the enormity of the mountain and the dangers presented.
