18-Year-Old Girl Might Have The World’s Longest Tongue, Can Lick Her Own Elbow Among Other Things

Adrianne Lewis is an 18-year-old girl who recently gained notoriety when she uploaded a YouTube video showcasing her bizarre appendage, her tongue. The current world record for longest tongue is held by Nick Stoeberl’s 3.9-inch long tongue, but Adrianne Lewis reportedly has a 4-inch long tongue.

The tongue inside Adrianne’s Lewis is so fascinating that she decided to submit it to ‘Ripley’s Believe It Or Not’ at the ripe age of only 13, to which she received an email back stating ‘Your tongue is really cool, we’d like to see more.’, which marked the weirdest exchange in the history of email between a 13-year-old girl and a large company.

Just what exactly is so interesting about Adrianne Lewis’ 4-inch-long tongue? Well, she can lick her own eyeball, and that’s not something you see every day:

Like I said before, it’s not every day you come across an 18-year-old girl whose tongue is so long she can lick her own eyeball. That’s the kind of content that makes you stop for a minute and wonder how you got sucked up into this crazy game we call blogging.

The Post caught up with Adrianne to discuss what might be the longest tongue in the entire world:

Adrianne created her own YouTube channel two years ago to showcase all of her tricks.
“People started viewing after I made my first video, and I already had 250 views the first day,” she explains.
“I started making more videos and it was basically about my tongue — I have 814 subscribers on my channel now.
“Someone also posted my picture on I-Funny and I had a friend from Colorado text me and tell me he saw me on the site.
“The next week I had a friend from Africa send me a message also, so it’s not just in my town, it’s people all over the world who have seen me.”
While Adrianne receives lots of positive feedback online, she is also faced with inappropriate comments from internet trolls.
“I delete a lot of the bad comments and try to keep it as clean as possible,” she said.
“People have accused me of editing my videos and have said that my tongue’s not real.
And Adrianne’s boyfriend, Tim Hegedus, 19, is also bothered by the comments.
“There’s a lot of weird people on the internet and I’ve seen some comments that are a little uncomfortable,” said Tim.
“If I could fight the internet, I would — but there’s not much I can do.

Sounds to me like Tim’s going to have a pretty rocky relationship if that’s how he feels. Much like we bloggers, he needs to stop reading the comments NOW. Her YouTube channel is out there, it’s not going anywhere, he just needs to stay out of the comments or risk a life feeding the trolls.

Adrianne’s currently speaking with ‘Guinness World Records’ about getting her 4-inch tongue in the record books as the world’s longest tongue, so the media coverage of this teen is about to go up tenfold.

Here’s some more content from her YouTube channel:

Also, here’s a quick Q&A she did recently based on all the emails and question she gets regarding what might be the world’s longest tongue:

63. Alexandra Middleton - Anthropology, Brain-Machine Interfaces and Prosthetics
Alexandra is a medical anthropologist, writer, and photographer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. A PhD candidate at Princeton University, her research focuses on the experimental development of neuroprosthetic technologies. Alexandra's research examines the ways scientists, doctors and amputee patients together develop and refine intimately integrated prosthetics coupled to nerves, muscles, and bones. Questions of embodiment, (inter)subjectivity, sensation, and relationality guide Alexandra's work.  A West Coast native (San Francisco Bay Area and Bend, Oregon), Alexandra attended Duke University, where she graduated with a BA in cultural anthropology, minor in neuroscience, in 2013. Her undergraduate thesis research on a mountain village community's indigenous medical system in Togo, West Africa prompted her to switch from a pre-medicine track to anthropology as an alternative lens to explore health and the body. These interests eventually lead Alexandra to Princeton to pursue her PhD in anthropology, with a focus on feminist studies of science and technology.  Interest in the body — and the multiple ways of being in one — are at the foundation of Alexandra's work and personal pursuits. Both her writing and photography have been recognised and awarded, nationally and internationally. Alexandra is also an endurance athlete (former competitive triathlete turned distance trail runner), former mindfulness-based cycling instructor, and certified yoga instructor who has been teaching yoga for five years. She is constantly seeking ways to explore and play with the intersections of mindfulness, movement, and writing.  Instagram @liminalliety www.liminalliety.com This episode is sponsored by Palm Organix™.
