Dude Refuses Trip To Hospital After Being Stabbed In The Head…Until The Game Is Over

Playoffs hockey is one of the best times of the year. It has the most energy of any playoffs. The players go balls to the walls for weeks/months, and fans try to match that intensity.

One fan was so jacked up for the Pittsburgh Penguins first game of the 2017 NHL Playoffs that he refused medical treatment after being stabbed in the fucking head with a screwdriver, declining to go to the hospital until the game was over like a fucking madman.

Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report has the story:

A Pittsburgh man who was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver Wednesday refused to be transported to the hospital until after the Penguins’ playoff game concluded.
According to a police report obtained by Bryan Armen Graham of the Guardian, the 43-year-old owner of City of Steel Auto Detail in Pittsburgh was struck by a 25-year-old male with a screwdriver during a verbal altercation. The victim told police he did not want medical assistance at the scene and would drive himself to the hospital after the Penguins’ matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets ended. Via

When the games ended this injured fan drove himself to the hospital with blood still gushing from his head. This all went down roughly 1 hour after the police were called to his auto shop.

Despite Pittsburgh’s recent success, it appears as if the fans are in no way fatigued and have shown up in droves for the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. I mention ‘fatigue’ because I was at the College Football National Championship this year and the crowd was about 70% Clemson fans, which leads me to believe when teams like ‘Bama see so much success the fans give up. I’m not trying to claim that the Pittsburgh Pens = Bama in terms of success, but the Pens are only a year off winning the Stanley Cup so I’m shocked to see this fan’s level of devotion. I’m pretty sure that getting stabbed in the fucking head and showing up to the hospital hours later while still bleeding is an unhealthy level of devotion to a team, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I did the same for an FSU championship game.
