Tonight’s UFC welterweight championship fight between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson ended in a majority draw after two judges called the fight even, while one judge gave the fight for Woodley.
Longtime UFC announcer Bruce Buffer made a mistake while announcing the winner by giving the fight to Woodley eventhough it was a draw.
Buffer had to come back out and interrupt Woodley’s postfight interview with Joe Rogan to break the bad news.
While Woodley still retains the title and nothing much is changed, it’s embarrassing a pro like Buffer not to know the difference between a draw and a win here.
