Kick-Ass FSU Sorority Girl Fighting A Rare Form Of Cancer Has A Cool Story About The School Rallying Around Her

Communities are everything. I genuinely mean that. Ask anyone who has ever gotten sick or endured a hardship and they’ll tell you there’s a lot of truth in the phrase “it takes a village.” When life takes a left turn and shit hits the fan, family and friends and the communities you’re a part of are the ones who get you through it.

The story of Gabby Dame is why college communities like the one at Florida State are so damn important for us young people. A Delta Gamma member, Gabby was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. In two weeks she finds out if she kicked the Big C’s ass. In the meantime, her story about the Greek system and Seminole nation rallying around her in Tallahassee is nothing short of inspiring. Just check out the video by College Weekly above.

Fuck cancer. Kick it’s ass, Gabby. You got this.
