Margaret Dilullo turned 106 years old earlier this year and does not show signs of slowing down. The Pennsylvania-native recently shared her secret to living a long life and it’s not what you might expect.

Her recipe to longevity, Dilullo says, is drinking a beer a day. Specifically, her lager of choice is balance of American six-row and two-row barley malt with choice Cluster and Cascade hops— an ice-cold Yuengling.

After Yuengling got word of her love for their beer, they decided to send her a gift and delivered quite a few of the pilsner-style brews to her home. The brewery pulled up to her driveway with a literal truckload of beer and invited some of her closest friends and family to enjoy a cold one with her.

Her reaction to the familiar, delicious taste, is one for which we are all familiar.

“Ahhh,” she said as she took a sip.

Shoutout to Dilullo. She has lived through the Roaring 20s, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights movement, multiple wars, and now, the COVID-19 pandemic.

And yet, no matter what life throws in her direction, Dilullo sits back every night, pops a top and enjoys a Yuengling. It’s the perfect end to a long day and if she has truly had one beer a day since the day that she turned 21, she has had at least 31,025 beers in her lifetime.

What a legend. Cheers to you, Margaret Dilullo.
