Old comments about and interactions with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have been resurfacing and going viral after the 54-year-old rapper and producer was arrested by federal authorities and charged with a litany of alleged crimes that now has him facing life in prison.

One of the many old clips about Diddy going viral on social media — a post of the video on X, formerly Twitter, has racked up over 1.5 million views at the time of this writing — features 50 Cent describing when he first got to know Diddy, who apparently offered to take 50 Cent shopping. 50 Cent recalled the incident with pure disgust, recalling his shocked reaction before calling Diddy a “fruit pop.”

As a head’s up, 50 Cent’s language in the viral clip can be unsavory and offensive in certain moments so make sure to be mindful of what setting you watch the video in.

50 Cent finds himself right in the thick of the Diddy story as he produced a documentary about his alleged years of criminal actions, particularly the alleged sexual assault allegations against him, titled Diddy Do It? that sold to Netflix after a reported bidding war earlier this year. While Diddy Do It? does not have an official release date, reports from when the project was announced suggested it would begin streaming “sooner rather than later.”

Given Diddy’s recent arrest and pending trial, it’s likely Netflix will want to premiere the doc before the end of the year. Last week, it was reported that Diddy, who is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail, has been placed on “suicide watch.”

“For decades, Sean Combs, the defendant, abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” the federal indictment says of Combs’ alleged criminal empire.

“To do so, Combs relied on the employees, resources, and influence of the multifaceted business empire that he led and controlled, creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”

Diddy has pled not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If found guilty, he faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison.
