Richard Linklater’s new film Hit Man premiered on Netflix in early June and has already solidified itself as one of the movies of the summer, as its rave reviews are only matched by its massive viewership.
While the film is obviously being touted as a breakout role for star Glen Powell, his co-star Adria Arjona has also been making tons of headlines with her wildly seductive performance as Madison Masters, with many fans of the film praising the pair’s on-screen chemistry.
That chemistry wasn’t just a natural occurrence, however, as Arjona says that the pair put some planning into their intimate scenes.
In a recent Variety profile, it’s revealed that Arjona had the idea of making a shared Pinterest board to plan their sex scenes.
“Everyone finds different things sensual. It was interesting to see both of our perspectives, hone in and start molding it from that sense. It sparked conversations that you wouldn’t normally have, because we were in the process of creating it,” Arjona told Variety.
“So often, sex scenes feel almost divorced from the movie, like a marketing play or it feels icky,” Powell added. “In this movie, those scenes are crucial in the changing and seizing of identity. You have to see a guy who sees the world in such a binary, stale place checking logic at the door and becoming a whole new person. This romantic relationship is really expediting it. It’s the catalyst for everything.”

Whatever preparation Arjona did for the film obviously worked as Hit Man has already proven to be a breakout hit for the Andor actress.
Having just turned 32 years old earlier this Spring, Arjona is poised to become one of the biggest actresses in Hollywood in the coming years if she makes smart career choices.

Hit Man is the fourth collaboration between Linklater and Powell following Fast Food Nation in 2006, Everybody Wants Some!! in 2016, and Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood in 2022.
Directed by Richard Linklater, Hit Man also stars Austin Amelio, Sanjay Rao, Molly Bernard, Retta, and Evan Holtzman and is now streaming on Netflix.
