Actress Aimee Lou Wood‘s teeth have stolen the show for many fans during Season 3 of The White Lotus. She’s arguably best known for her role on Netflix’s Sex Education as Aimee Gibbs but she and her unique teeth have reached an even more massive audience thanks to Season 3 of Mike White’s hit series.
All citizens of Great Britain are acutely aware of the reputation they have when it comes to teeth. If any Briton ever tells you otherwise, they’re lying. And actress Aimee Lou Wood’s unique grill hasn’t been easy for her in the past and led to her “being bullied for (her) teeth forever.” But that’s not the case anymore/after this season of The White Lotus.
During a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Aimee Lou Wood discussed the ‘full circle’ reaction she’s had with her teeth. She said she’ll constantly be scrolling Instagram/TikTok and see videos of dentists/orthodontists breaking down what’s wrong with her teeth, the underlying causes, etc. and how every single video ends in the most touching of ways. Long gone are the days of her being bullied for her teeth because people love them now in the most earnest of ways.

She says “the Americans can’t believe…but they’re all being lovely.” After discussing the dentist videos she’s seen on Instagram, she says they all end with “but we don’t think she should change a thing” and Aimee Lou Wood says “oh my good it feels so lovely, a real full circle moment after being bullied for my teeth forever and now people are clapping in an audience because I’ve got these.”

Aimee Lou Wood told Jonathan Ross and his audience that she “can’t believe the impact” her teeth have had on The White Lotus fans but more so she can’t believe the incredibly nice things she’s heard from fans.
This isn’t the first time her teeth have exploded in popularity, however. When Mick Jagger’s daughter Georgia May Jagger had a glow up and became a jet-setting runway model, Aimee Lou Wood says she reaped the benefits. Speaking with Stylist in an interview 5 years ago during her Sex Education stint, Wood said “all of a sudden it went from me being goofy to, ‘Oh, you’re a bit of a model, aren’t you?’ So I want to thank Georgia May Jagger for representing the buck teeth.”
