A.J. Befumo, the patriarch of the popular TikTok family that consists of The Rizzler and Big Justice (I cannot believe I’m writing these words and get paid for it), is going viral for giving off major Homelander energy in a behind-the-scenes video.

In case you live under a rock — if so, congratulations, honestly sounds much better than being aware of what this all is — A.J. Befumo and his family have gone massively viral on social media this summer due to their aggressively cringeworthy content that focuses on the family trying various foods, particularly Costco’s “Chicken Bake” and “Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie.”

There’s something undeniably simulation-y about the Befumo family, as they stare dead-eyed and soulless into the camera, screaming “Boom” and “Doom” as they shove uniquely disgusting American culinary artifacts down their gullets. But, ultimately, they’ve been given a pass because it *seems* like they’re just having some good old-fashioned family fun.

A recent behind-the-scenes video, however, shows that actual fun seems to be few on far between when “on set,” as the elder Befumo carries himself like what social media has been calling the “Italian homelander.”

“AJ talks like Homelander when he’s using his real voice,” said a viral reply to the video.

“There is a darkness behind those eyes,” said another post about the clip.

Another hilarious comparison being made is that Befumo acts like David Fincher, the acclaimed director who is known for being borderline sadistic with the amount of takes he makes his actors shoot.

At the time of this writing, Befumo’s TikTok account has over 1.7 million followers, with their videos also reaching millions more on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram.
