A famed, world-class organist named Anna Lapwood played the Interstellar score at the Cologne Cathedral in Germany, and given how beloved the film is, the videos have gone massively viral on social media.

Anna Lapwood, a 29 year old British organist with over 1 million followers on Instagram, is also the Director of Music at Pembroke College at Cambridge and is an Official Organist of the famed Royal Albert Hall.

Unsurprisingly, Lapwood’s performance of the Interstellar theme — specifically the track “Day One” on the official score — went massively viral on social media. The original Interstellar score was composed by Hans Zimmer, unequivocally one of the most iconic film composers in the history of cinema.

According to Lapwood, over 13,000 people showed up at the concert and the police had to be called in order to do further crowd control. She wound up doing two back-to-back concert with 4,000 people each — leaving another 5,000 outside, unable to attend.

“I have no words to describe last night. I have honestly never experienced anything like it. 13,000 people showed up to Cologne Cathedral for my concert. 13,000!!!!!! The police ended up being called and I’m so grateful to them for their help keeping everything under control. We expected it would be busy, but never in a million years did we think it would be THAT busy,” Lapwood wrote on Instagram after the show.

“I really didn’t want anyone to be turned away so 45 minutes before the start I made the decision to do 2 concerts back to back – 4000 in each – and I genuinely thought we had got everyone in but apparently 5000 were still waiting outside and didn’t make it in. If you were one of these people: I am SO sorry. I didn’t find out until about 30 mins after the end of the second concert and I have been feeling bad ever since,” she continued.

“Please also be kind to the cathedral team – they did an incredible job responding to the situation as quickly as they could – they had already organised extra staff, but planning for an audience of about 4000, not 13,000!! Lesson learned: I will always make sure there is a ticketing system in place in the future….!!”

Directed by acclaimed Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan, Interstellar was released in theaters in 2014 and is widely regarded as one of the best — certainly one of the most beloved — movies of the 21st century so far.
