Earlier this month, the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday — which is attached to the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash — leaked online, revealing that Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers/Captain America would not only be returning for the film, but it set to be a key part of the marketing.

The teaser, however, didn’t land the way that Marvel Studios was likely expecting, as MCU fans were largely underwhelmed by the trailer.

“By the way. Doomsday teaser? Packed house? You could hear a f—— pin drop,” one viral tweeted claimed.

The Thor-centric teaser, however, seems to be sparking the intended reaction, as comic book movie fans are full of praise for the spot on social media.

While the teaser was quickly purged from social media, it was still up long enough for fans to take screenshots of the cinematography and translate what Thor is saying (as the leaked teaser was in French).

Earlier today, Marvel Studios officially released the Steve Rogers teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, in addition to the first poster for the film.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to feature a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.

The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
