A beer chugging tennis fan will be back in the spotlight in 2023. Megan Lucky AKA “Beer Girl” announced her intention to attend the US Open again this year.
The internet star unveiled her well thought out decision on social media, and she’ll hopefully give viewers a show for the third straight event.
Megan Lucky has been in the stands each of the last two US Open events. At both of those tennis tournaments, she’s been caught on camera with a beer in hand.
She’s then proceeded to down said beverages in record time to the cheers of fans in the crowd.
After much thought, she’d decided to return for this year’s Open.
Lucky said as much in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“I made a decision, it hasn’t been an easy one, partly because I want to be the best version of myself, and I want to be a role model to others,” Lucky began.
“I want to stay true to my values, and I’m trying to figure out if I can do all of those things while being beer girl. And I have decided that I can be Beer Girl and all of those things, because Beer Girl is a part of me. I like to go to sporting events, and I like to have fun and make people smile and there’s nothing wrong with that.
“I’m not going to let the narratives, and the media, and the negative comments affect me, because I know who I am, and I love who I am. And it’s okay to be multifaceted,” She concluded.
“So, without further ado, I will see you guys on Friday.”

Hopefully, cameras will again catch “Beer Girl” in action to provide viewers with some extra entertainment at the US Open.
