You simply cannot keep Ben Affleck down. Following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in August, reports now indicate that the Oscar-winning actor, writer, and director is “closer than ever” with his other ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner — who was most recently seen reprising her role of Elektra in Deadpool & Wolverine — got married in 2005 and got divorced in 2018. The pair share three children together, with the oldest of the bunch, Violet, reportedly becoming close with Lopez in recent years.
While Affleck and Jennifer Garner have always been a model of healthy co-parenting following a divorce, at least as far as Hollywood relationships are concerned, a new report from an alleged inside source claims that the pair have become so close recently that it has those close to them speculating they could get back together.
“Ben and Jen are closer than ever. They’ve developed a mutual respect and a deeper level of friendship they didn’t have before. It has some friends asking if they could be on their way to getting back together,” a source told Life & Style.
Affleck is apparently juggling both his ex-wives named Jennifer in the air, as reports from earlier this week indicated that Jennifer Lopez has been sleeping at Affleck’s new house amid ‘lingering doubts’ about their divorce.
As for his professional life, Affleck’s production company that he founded with Matt Damon, Artists Equity, produced Lopez’s upcoming film Unstoppable — a biopic about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles — which hits Prime Video on January 6. They’re also producing an adaptation of the Broadway play Kiss of the Spider Woman, which Lopez is set to star in alongside Andor lead Diego Luna.
Affleck’s next starring role will be in a sequel to his 2016 action-thriller The Accountant, which was also produced by Artists Equity and is set to hit theaters on April 25. He also recently filmed the upcoming Netflix crime thriller RIP, which will co-star his Damon and is being directed by Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces, The Grey, Copshop).
