The flames of the star-crossed romance between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will seemingly and hilariously never be put out, as the pair were spotted getting close at the recent premiere of Lopez’s new movie Kiss of the Spider-Woman. Oh, those two crazy kids!

Ben Affleck’s production company Artists Equity, which he co-founded with longtime friend and creative collaborator Matt Damon, produced Kiss of the Spider-Woman, which is the second film adaptation of the 1976 novel by Argentine author Manuel Puig following a Brazilian adaption in 1985.

Given his role as producer, Affleck was in attendance at the New York City premiere of the film on October 6. Jennifer Lopez and Affleck famously dated in the early 2020s before reuniting in the 2020s. The pair got married in 2022 but ultimately split up last year.

“She’s amazing in the movie. I just can’t wait for the audiences to see the movie. I’m as proud of this movie as any that I’ve ever been involved with. I’m really, really excited to be here tonight,” Affleck said of his ex-wife’s performance at the event.

Kiss of the Spider-Woman was directed by Bill Condon, who has previously helmed films such as Gods and Monsters, Chicago, Dreamgirls, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and Beauty and the Beast.

The new Lopez-starring adaption first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and earned generally strong reviews, as it currently sits at an 82% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition Lopez, Kiss of the Spider Woman also stars Andor star Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, Tony Dovolani, Josefina Scaglione, Bruno Bichir, and more.
