Despite reports that Jennifer Lopez wanted Ben Affleck to spend the holidays with she and her children, the Academy Award winning actor and director spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with his other ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Affleck and Garner got divorced in 2018, while Affleck and Lopez split earlier this year.
Back in November, it was reported that Jennifer Lopez was “pushing for joint holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas for the sake of the children,” with Affleck reportedly not buying her reasoning.
As it turns out, Affleck stuck to his guns as he reportedly spent Christmas with Garner and his children and not Lopez, who spent the holidays in Aspen.
“Jen and Ben were all together for Christmas. It’s all for the kids,” an alleged inside source told People “Jen grew up surrounded by her family for the holidays, and she wants the same for her kids.”
“The pair were spotted picking up bagels together the morning of Dec. 7 and reportedly ate breakfast together before heading back to Affleck’s home. They then spent Thanksgiving Day together, volunteering with their three children at The Midnight Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair.”
Affleck and Lopez, who famously dated in the early 2000s, rekindled their romance in the 2020s and got married in 2022 before Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024.
The pair also established a professional relationship in recent years as Affleck’s production company Artists Equity, which he co-founded with Matt Damon, has been producing some of Lopez’s projects, most recently the upcoming Prime Video film Unstoppable, which releases on January 16.
Affleck isn’t only producing and directing these days, though, as he’ll next be seen starring in The Accountant 2, a sequel to his underrated 2016 action film The Accountant, which will be hitting Prime Video on Friday, April 25. Jon Bernthal, J. K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson will be reprising their roles alongside Affleck, with Gavin O’Connor also returning to direct.
