Black Mirror is one of those shows that is really good, but you forget about it because you never know when a new season is going to be released.

After all, Black Mirror has been around since 2011 and has only released 28 episodes (including the interactive film Bandersnatch) over six seasons.

The seasons are also so short. Three seasons have been three episodes in length, one had five episodes, and two had six episodes. Plus, there have been only two seasons of Black Mirror since December of 2018.

Which is why fans of the show are very excited on Thursday with the announcement of the extremely talented cast that will appearing in season seven of popular anthology series created by Charlie Brooker.

Check out this list…

• Awkwafina (Shang Chi)
• Milanka Brooks (Mum And I Don’t Talk Anymore)
• Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who)
• Emma Corrin (Deadpool and Wolverine)
• Patsy Ferran (Firebrand)
• Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers)
• Lewis Gribben (Blade Runner 2099)

Season seven of Black Mirror will also see the return of the U.S.S. Callister.

“U.S.S. Callister will return,” a teaser released by Netflix stated. “[Captain] Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the U.S.S. Callister, their problems are just beginning.”

That episode from season four ended up being nominated for seven Emmy Awards, winning four of them, including Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special.

Other than that all Netflix has said is that “the series is currently filming and will be returning to Netflix in 2025.”

That, and this mysterious, bizarre teaser that if you watch slowly and pause now and then might clue you in to some other stuff to look for in season 7.
