Old footage of late The Price Is Right host Bob Barker avoiding contact with Black people while he was hosting the game show is going viral on social media. Similarly, so is video from a documentary in which an interviewee detailed his racist beliefs.
The viral clip in question cam from from E!’s Dirty Rotten Scandals: The Price Is Right documentary and showed Bob Barker’s visibly uncomfortable reaction to Black contestants in the 1980s, including him fleeing a hug while yelling “Don’t attack me!”
A woman being interviewed in the doc claims it was Barker’s “order” that there were only be two Black contestants per episode/taping. Barker hosted The Price Is Right for 35 years, from 1972 to 2007.

If you’re of a certain age, however, you may most recognize him from Adam Sandler’s 1996 golf comedy Happy Gilmore, which saw Barker, playing himself, get into a fight with Gilmore on the course.
He died on August 26, 2023, at age 99.
