Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, fresh off of calling out Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria on Instagram, reportedly receive a $1 million monthly stipend from Nicola’s billionaire father.
In his lengthy Instagram statement about his parents — which also detailed an instantly viral story about his mother Victoria reportedly dancing “inappropriately” with him during his wedding — Brooklyn Beckham essentially said that he wants to be independent of his parents and their empire.
“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose and have found peace and relief,” the seemingly-scorned eldest Beckham child shared on his Instagram storm.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
Now it’s clear why Brooklyn thinks he’d be able to separate himself from the Beckham name, as he and his wife reportedly get a $1 million-per-month allowance from him father-in-law Nelson Peltz, who has a net worth of about $1.6 billion.
Plugged-in Hollywood gossip podcaster claims that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz receive $1 million per month from her father
“From what I hear, I think [David and Victoria Beckham] give Brooklyn a lot of money but not insane money, and they kind of have this dream to some degree that he will stand on his own two feet and become independent,” claimed Marina Hyde, co-host of the Rest is Entertainment podcast.
“I hear — and maybe Nelson Peltz would deny this — but I hear that he said to [Victoria and David], ‘I give my daughter a million dollar month allowance. Why don’t you?’”
A contradicting source told E! News there is no truth to Hyde’s comments, however. If it’s not true, however, then where does the couple’s money come from? Certainly not Brooklyn’s high-end hot sauce brand Cloud23, which sells for $17.50 per bottle.
Nelson Peltz and his business ventures also have some past connections to two of the most infamous and high-profile criminals of the 21st century: Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.
In 2003, when New York Magazine was put up for sale by Primedia, a group of investors assembled by Mort Zuckerman and media columnist Michael Wolff made a bid to acquire the publication, with that group including billionaire Peltz, Epstein, and Weinstein.
