Did Victoria Beckham really ruin her son Brooklyn Beckham‘s wedding to Nicola Peltz by dancing inappropriately with his son during their first date?
Well, according to the wedding DJ from that night, that’s not exactly how things went down. Although the reception was far from normal.
DJ Fat Tony, who emcee’d the extravagant evening, sat down with ITV to explain the details of exactly what happened between the Beckham mother and son.
Victoria Beckham Took The First Dance From Nicola Paz, But Not In A Weird Way
According to Brooklyn, who has currently cut ties with both his former Spice Girl mother and legendary soccer player father, David, Victoria “danced very inappropriately” on him, which he called wildly humiliating.
However, the DJ tells a different story of the events.
“There was no sl-t dropping, there was no there was no black PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girls action,” he said. “…The word ‘inappropriate,’ why I said it was inappropriate as well, was because it was the timing.
“This is what happened. Basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn on stage. Everyone’s expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance. Then, Marc Anthony asks the ‘most beautifulest woman in the room’ to come to the stage… and then he says, ‘Victoria, come to the stage.’ So Victoria’s by the stage, she goes up to the stage.
“And, of course, by that point Brooklyn’s suddenly devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Then, Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Brooklyn’s stuck there on stage and then they do this dance and Marc Anthony’s like ‘put your hands on your mother’s hips’ and it was a Latin thing. The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.”
So there you have it.
The new version of events likely won’t change anyone’s view of things. But it was certainly a bit different than how Brooklyn led on.
Was Victoria out of line? Perhaps. Was she dancing with her son in a manner that could be considered sexual? It doesn’t sound that way.
But also, what in the world is Marc Anthony thinking?!
Either way, it doesn’t sound like the Beckham family feud is ending anytime soon.
