A mysterious organization claims it has the ability to control the weather. Not only that, but they also say their services have been used by the British Royal family.
The Cacique Cobra Coral Foundation says it was tasked with keeping rain away from two Royal weddings. First, a wealthy businessman hired them to keep the skies clear over the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. They were also given the task of keeping the weather nice for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018.
According to The Express, interest in the Cacique Cobra Coral Foundation was first piqued in the 1980s. The Guardian published two articles in 1987 profiling Adelaide Scritori, the foundation’s current leader, and her husband, Osmar Santos. The articles discussed an offer the couple made to Margaret Thatcher to ease a harsh winter in the U.K. They also covered a proposal they made to Saddam Hussein, offering weather control in return for a ceasefire. Both national leaders turned them down.
The Cacique Cobra Coral Foundation says it has worked with numerous governments and organizations to control the weather
Following their work for the Royal family, the foundation offered their services to the Gulf of Genoa and the Cannes Film Festival. They claim that numerous governments, including Japan, China, and their home country of Brazil, have contacted them and used them over the years in times of need.
However, 30 years ago, the Brazilian Meteorological Society sued the foundation for illegally practicing meteorology. The court eventually dismissed the case, and the foundation registered an agency with the professional council of meteorologists, which gave them the permission to sign contracts.
The organization’s ability to control the weather, they claim, comes through the spirit of the Cacique (“indigenous chief” in Taino). This spirit supposedly inhabits Adelaide. That spirit, according to her, has had previous communication with people like Galileo Galilei and Abraham Lincoln.
The Cacique Cobra Coral Foundation website says its mission is to “minimize catastrophes that can occur due to the imbalances caused by man in nature.” Since the organization is non-governmental and non-profit, the couple says they never charge for their services. Even when they appear at the Rock in Rio festival every year.
