Iconic Grammy and Academy Award winner Cher was a recent guest on Dax Shepard’s popular Armchair Expert podcast and took a swipe at his marriage to Kristen Bell while sitting next to the pair of them.

Cher and Dax Shepard’s wife, actress Kristen Bell, starred together in the 2010 film Burlesque, which prompted Bell to sit in on the taping of the Armchair Expert interview.

During the chat — as is often the case with Shepard’s interviews, as he routinely insists on diving deep into both his guest’s and his deepest personal emotions — the topic of the pair’s marriage came up, leading to Cher’s brutally icy barb.

Cher brutally told Dax Shepard to his face that she doesn’t understand why Kristen Bell is with him and that she’s the “better half”

“You’re lucky. She is definitely the better half,” Cher told Shepard while appearing on his podcast Armchair Expert

Shepard later replied: “Who would be your dream partner for her? Cause I know you think she could do better, and I don’t disagree.’

“The truth is, I trust her. So you must have something that I don’t see,” the Hollywood legend added.

Cher’s jab at Kristen Bell and Shepard’s relationship comes a few months after the couple went viral for Bell’s bizarre anniversary post on Instagram in which she lovingly praised Shepard for once stating that, even though he has reason to, he’d never kill her.

“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would,'” the Frozen star wrote on Instagram in the controversial post.

While Bell has yet to publicly address the backlash to her comments, she did delete it off of Instagram and bailed on appearing on The Today Show a few days after the controversy went viral.
