Nobody wants to find an unpleasant surprise in their takeout meal. Over the years, these frustrating occurrences have become a growing phenomenon, making takeout a hit or miss.
Although minor mistakes inevitably happen, harmful ones like finding a staple in a Texas Roadhouse roll or a plastic bag in a Taco Bell Crunchwrap have allegedly happened. When TikTok creator Kim (@og.kimmm) opened her blue cheese from Chili’s, what she noticed inside seemed downright unsanitary. She suspects she wasn’t the only person to eat from the same sauce cup.
Ew, What Is In Her Chili’s Blue Cheese?
In the nine-second clip, she holds a large styrofoam container of blue cheese sauce. Upon first glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary. Then, she moves the camera to reveal buffalo sauce-colored specks in the sauce. “Yo, why the f— did my blue cheese come […] used, bro?” she asks, disgusted. “What the f—, Chili’s?”
“Bad enough they got rid of their corn smh, now yall sent me used blue cheese ? Why always me?” she bemoans in the caption, accompanied by a crying emoji.
Viewers Are Equally Repulsed
Kim’s video garnered over 246,000 views. Many viewers were just as horrified and expressed their disgust.
“Oh that’s so gross,” one viewer commented.
“Oh … no. Make all my food over at that point. You know what just give me a refund,” another stated.
“Compensate for this NOW,” a third demanded, tagging Chili’s.
Meanwhile, others proposed their theories.
“You guys, sometimes other surrounding sauces might drip into the ones next to them,” one commenter remarked.
Even a former Chili’s employee attempted to reassure the creator by echoing the same sentiment. “When I worked there, some dressings and the salsa were stored next to each other in a fridge top in pans with ladles and not pouring dispensers,” they explained. “So sometimes a little salsa would get in there if a server was scooping sloppily.”
Kim had revealed in the comments section that she suspected it was buffalo sauce.

What Happens If You Consume Contaminated Food?
Although different condiments accidentally combined may be unappealing and probably unappetizing, it’s likely not harmful unless one has allergies. Eating used condiments, however, is a different story. Kissing and sharing food, drinks, and utensils has the potential to transfer many diseases and illnesses, according to VeryWellHealth, which include:
- Cold sores
- Mono
- Flu
- Herpes
- Rotavirus
- Tooth decay
- Gonorrhea
If you ever spot anything out of the ordinary in your food, contact the restaurant.
