Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman is going viral for telling a bizarre story about the time she, as a teenager, pantsed a six-year-old boy. Similarly, Vanity Fair is facing backlash for editing the video in which she made the uncomfortable revelation.

In a video shared by Vanity Fair, titled ‘SNL Cast Test How Well They Know Each Other,’ Chloe Fineman — who joined Saturday Night Live in 2019 and has been a main cast member since 2021 — recalled getting fired from a job at a summer camp after she pantsed a six-year-old. “Pantsing” is when you unexpectedly pull someone’s pants down.

The video sees Fineman detailing the story to fellow cast mates Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, Jane Wickline and James Austin, who all visibly cringed at the anecdote while she explained it.

“I was fired as a camp counselor. I pantsed a boy,” Fineman said.

“He would lift my shirt all the time. It was a different time. He would be like, ‘Hey, could I have a hug?’ And then I’d go to hug him and he’d lift my shirt, like a dick. And then I was like, ‘I’m going to get back at you.’ And so we were on a hike and I was like, ‘Hey, Ollie, go look over there. It’s a hawk.’ He looked and then I yanked his pants down, and then I was fired.”

“He wasn’t wearing underpants, and then a giant school bus drove by,” Fineman added, saying that his “little ding-a-ling was out.”

After the video went viral, Vanity Fair seemingly edited the video and removed Fineman mentioning that the boy was 6 and his “little ding-a-ling was out,” in addition to scrubbing the shocked reactions of her co-stars, including Ashley Padilla saying that Fineman’s  probably “on a list somewhere.” The clip had already been circulated on social media, however, meaning the damage was done.
