One Delta crash survivor is speaking out after the airline offered passengers money for their troubles following a scary experience. Earlier this week, a video showing a Delta airplane flipping upside down after a crash landing went viral on social media.

All passengers on the flight survived and were offered $30k k “with no strings attached” that “does not affect rights” as initial compensation for the scary ordeal.

Delta Air Lines is offering to pay $30,000 each to passengers on Delta Connection Flight 4819 that crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon.

The Atlanta-based airline confirmed the amount Wednesday afternoon. Spokesperson Morgan Durrant said in an email the Delta Care Team is telling customers the money is a gesture that comes with “no strings attached and does not impact rights.”

If every one of the 76 passengers took the money, that would stack up to about $2.3 million.

Nate Richie, one of the passengers on the flight, told TMZ that he’s speaking with his lawyers before taking the $30k and that he thinks the offer is a bit low.

“I have received communication about the $30k, I have forwarded it to my attorney for review to under what it is and what it means.”

“Is it fair? I haven’t slept in days. The emotional stress, I almost can’t explain it. Is my mental health worth $30k? Can you put a price tag on that? I can’t answer that. As a final compensation, I can’t see that being anywhere near for what we experienced.”
