Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs looks to be seeking haven in someone that’s also been accused of various crimes, as reports indicate the disgraced rapper and producer has contacted the Trump administration in an effort to secure a pardon for a “mid-six figures” sum.
Combs was arrested in New York City in September 2024 by federal agents following allegations of sexual assault, physical abuse, drugging, and coercive behavior that spanned decades. Diddy was officially indicted on charges of racketeering, trafficking by force or coercion, and transporting individuals across state lines for the purposes of prostitution.
His trial began on May 5 and concluded on July 2, with him being acquitted of the most severe charges — racketeering conspiracy and trafficking — but being found guilty on two counts related to the transportation of individuals for prostitution.

These convictions each carry a maximum sentence of 10 years, meaning Combs faces up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors have indicated they will recommend a sentence in the range of 51 to 63 months (approximately four to five years). Combs has been denied bail and remains in custody as he awaits sentencing, which is scheduled for October 3, 2025.
Given his potential prison sentence, reports from Rolling Stone indicate that Diddy and his team are looking to buy a pardon off the President and are reportedly offering mid-six figures to political operatives and admin officials to try and help secure it. It’s certainly not a stretch to imagine such a pardon happening, as Trump, similar to Diddy, has been accused of sexual misconduct or abuse by dozens of women over the decades, with a civil jury finding Trump liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll, awarding her $5 million in damages.
Furthermore, according to Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo, Combs is “going to be back at Madison Square Garden.” Agnifilo added, however, that Combs has not confirmed to him whether or not he wants to “get back into music.” Given Diddy’s specific desire to return to the MSG stage, he’d likely see the concert as a celebration of his release… a Diddy Party.
