Diddy’s Son Christian Combs Sees Backlash After Taking Over His Father’s Instagram Account

There aren’t many positive stories in the news these days about Sean “Diddy’ Combs, the music mogul who stands accused of a plethora of crimes.

But Combs’ son Christian, who goes by the name of “King” is hoping to change that by taking over his father’s social media accounts.

The younger Combs posted a video on Diddy’s Instagram page on Wednesday talking about his plan to rehab his father’s image.

“Right now, I’m taking over my pop’s Instagram,” he said. “We gon’ be posting videos, spreading good energy, and taking ya’ll down memory lane of all the positive things he did. So, stay tuned and watch this, let’s go”

He ended the post with a “Happy Birthday” wish to his father, who celebrated his 55th birthday in a federal prison on Monday.

There were, perhaps surprisingly, some fans who supported King Combs’ venture.

Thank you for keeping us posted on all the positive things he did because he has created a lot of positivity for the culture and for our community,” one wrote. Let us settle on the best part. I am thankful for the time that I had working with your father praying for his strength.”

But many others mocked the idea, or criticized the younger Combs’ plan.

“It’s like spraying Febreze in a s— filled bathroom,” another reply read.

Bro stay out of it and build yourself…ur pops made his bed, u don’t gotta lay in it,” yet another stated.

As of last week, Diddy was facing over two dozen criminal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. He also faces several civil suits alleging sexual assault.

Obviously, it’s going to be difficult from King Combs to separate himself from all of this. After all, it is father. But he may want to lay low on this one if he doesn’t want to risk tarnishing his own image as well.
