Dr.Dre opened up about the changes the NFL made for the Super Bowl halftime show.
On Sunday afternoon before the big game, Eriq Gardner of Puck News reported that the NFL had issues with Eminem’s plan to kneel and lyrics from Dre’s song “Still D.R.E.”
A Super Bowl special from me, for @PuckNews, as I can reveal the NFL clashed with Dr. Dre over a lyric from a signature hit how he’s “still not loving police.” The league also nixed a plan by Eminem to kneel, Colin Kaepernick-style. https://t.co/opWY8HLRYM

Fans noticed that not only did Dre recite the lyrics in question, but Eminem also took a knee during the show.
Reportedly the NFL nixed Dre saying “still don’t love the police” and Eminem kneeling but both things happened

Dre spoke to TMZ on Monday and said the NFL made minor changes to the show, but they never told Eminem that he couldn’t kneel.
“There were a few things we had to change, but they were really minor things. Em taking a knee, that was Em doing that on his own, and there was no problem with that”
Dre revealed that the NFL did have an issue with lyrics from Kendrick Lamar’s set, which they decided to take out.
“The beginning of Kendrick’s set, he says if Piru’s and Crips all got along, they had a problem with that, so we had to take that out, no big deal, we get it.”
The NFL must have had an issue with another of Kendrick’s lyrics because fans noticed the “and we hate Popo” line was missing from his rendition of “Alright” on Sunday.

Damn the NFL really made Kendrick censor “and we hate Popo” that’s the most NFL move ever
