After being walked to the stage by LeBron and his son Bronny, Drake explained how LeBron supported him when he was first trying to get his career off the ground with his now-iconic mixtape So Far Gone.

“The gentleman that walked me to stage tonight is my brother. In 2009, when nobody believed in anything I had going on, that same guy showed up to a release party for a mixtape that was called So Far Gone. He came all the way to Toronto, Canada to support me, when I was trying to figure out how I can live my dreams,” Drake told the crowd.

This summer, Drake has been in the midst of his “It’s All A Blur” tour, which has been making stops at all the major arenas across the United States. The tour started at the United Center in Chicago on July 5 and is set to conclude in Columbus, Ohio on October 9.
The 36-year-old Drake is also currently gearing up for the release of his latest album For All The Dogs, which features cover art drawn by his son Adonis that was unveiled earlier this week.
For All The Dogs is set to release on Friday, August 25, and will be Drake’s eighth studio album following Thank Me Later, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, Views, Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy, and Honestly, Nevermind.
