A viral TikTok on the @2004.mitchell.c account shared how Cayce’s prophecy about dogs is unfolding at this very moment in our history. Dogs, once deemed useful for hunting or mere companionship, have upgraded their roles into guardians and protectors. According to soothsayer Cayce, this was always the plan.
The “Sleeping Prophet” allegedly predicted that dogs would “evolve” into their true spiritual purpose when “talking machines connect humans.” The video shares that Cayce claimed our dogs didn’t happen upon us by chance, but by design. He said they were companions placed to “heal and protect souls.”
“Cayce believed dogs were not accidental presences in our lives; instead, he saw them as beings with a clear spiritual purpose,” the TikTok narrator says.
The video continues that the reason we are seeing Cayce’s prophecy come to fruition today is because of the role dogs play in our lives currently. It cites service dogs and emotional support dogs as proof of this new sense of “higher self” that dogs employ. To Cayce, this was their true purpose: soothing veterans’ PTSD, calming anxieties, leading and protecting the disabled. All of this, the TikTok narrator says, is because dogs are protecting and healing “our souls.”
When one looks at their dogs—the way a reassuring paw rests on your knee when crying, or who they can tell when that guy you’re seeing is bad news—it’s not hard to believe Cayce’s prediction. After all, how can an animal that can’t speak our language share so much with us? It’s no surprise, then, that viewers shared their own experiences with their dogs in the comments section.
Do Viewers Believe This Prophecy?
Many agreed that the Kentucky-based prophet’s reading made sense. Some shared their own stories about the unexplainable connection they felt toward their dogs.
“I was given an Italian Greyhound for my 8th birthday. We were INSTANTLY inseparable,” one user wrote. They shared how the Greyhound protected them from their violent dad and passed away shortly after they got married.
“It’s as if he had handed me safely over to him, & could let go of his life. As my heart broke as he died, I was suddenly inundated by a deep certainty that he would come & fetch me at the end of my life,” the user said. “All was well. His love for me is infinite. I am 57 now & think of him daily.”
Another revealed that their teacup Yorkie was killed by a dog, only for another Yorkie to come into her life when she needed her the most.
“I adopted her I felt like god put that out there for me,” they said. “I have had her for five years. We are so connected. She stares at me like if she staring into my soul. I can’t imagine life without her.”
Today, there are many incredible stories about dogs doing heroic things. From saving people in wreckages to alerting their owners of danger, dogs are the beings we don’t deserve. Cayce, born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was said to provide prophecies during his “trance-like” states. Like any prophet, though, Cayce had his skeptics.
