Existing in public as a woman can feel unsafe. Many women around the world report adjusting their behavior specifically to avoid being targeted by dangerous strangers.
That can mean never walking alone at night, bringing a friend to certain activities, sharing locations, or generally staying hyperaware of everything happening around them. In fact, a U.K. study found that 56% of girls and young women in the U.K. aged 11 to 21 feel unsafe traveling alone, with nearly one-third avoiding public transport altogether.
As situation after situation continues to show, that kind of caution is not paranoia. Women have shared stories of being harassed while doing their jobs, whether they are flight attendants, servers, or beverage cart attendants, and more.
Recently, a TikTok creator captured one of those moments on video after heading to a golf driving range alone. She went to practice alone, set up her camera, and quickly realized someone behind her was paying far too much attention.
What Did The Stranger Do?
In the clip, Juju (@juju.dodoo) sets up her camera at a golf driving range in Colorado. In the video’s text overlay, she wrote, “Reality of being a golf girlie alone on the driving range.”
She explains the situation further in the overlay, writing, “This man ‘stretched’ behind me for at least 10 mins, watching me use a tripod. Then suddenly offered to ‘help record me.’”
As the video plays, a man can be heard approaching from behind. “Pardon me, would you like some help with that?” he asks. “I could video you right off the bat.”
Juju responds politely and shuts it down. “Oh no, it’s OK,” she says. “I’m good. Thank you.”
“You got it?” he asks. “Right on.”
At that point, the interaction seems over. But as Juju continues practicing, the man appears again in the background of the frame. He stands behind her, staring without pause, looking confused and lingering between her shots.
“Not sneaky,” Juju writes in another overlay. “Does he not understand he’s in my shot?”
She then shares more footage of the man repeatedly watching her as she swings. The text overlay reads, “Don’t be him,” making her message clear without needing further explanation.
In the caption, Juju adds more context about how she handled the situation. “Moved as soon as a better mat opened up,” she writes. “Men really be men-ing out there and then wonder why they CaNt JuSt be NicE.”

Commenters Are Disgusted
In the comments, many users reacted with memes instead of words. They shared images of characters with looks of disgust, disappointed dogs, shocked Barbie dolls, and more.
“Fellow golf girlie that could out drive a lot of guys,” one person shared. “I understand and this made me violently angry for you.”
“I’m so tired of having to fake nice to these kind of weirdos, because they make us so uncomfortable,” another said.
One commenter shared a photo of an Oscar Wilde quote that read, “Some men improve the world only by leaving it.”
BroBible reached out to Juju via TikTok messages for more information about the incident.
