South Florida is currently dealing with a falling Iguana epidemic, and one woman is taking advantage of the situation.
On Sunday, Florida experienced a historic cold front that stunned iguanas, causing them to fall from trees in a catatonic state.
Jessica Kilgore, with Iguana Solutions, said she’s collected hundreds of pounds worth of Iguanas that she’s going to have shipped out to Trindad to have them cooked at eaten.

“So a lot of different cultures eat Iguanas and they eat the eggs and they eat the legs and the tail. So these are easy snacks falling out the tree this morning.”
The woman explains that she’s not being inhumane because iguanas are an invasive species in South Florida, and she’s doing her part to reduce the iguana population in the state.
“Iguanas are an invasive species in Florida just like the pythons and the parrots and other animals that damage our native environment”
