Comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who at his biggest weighed over 425 pounds, said in an interview on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast that Ozempic once offered him $1 million to be the “face” of the brand. The comedian called “Fluffy” also detailed his experience taking the drug.
Appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Gabriel Igelsias recounted how Ozempic reached out to him to become the celebrity face of its brand, but he had to turn down the million-dollar-deal due to scheduling conflicts.
Comedian Gabriel Igelias turned down $1 million to be the “face” of Ozempic; took the drug himself and was “scared” of it
“Ozempic reached out to me many years ago. They offered me a freaking incredible deal to be the face of Ozempic before freaking ‘O O O Ozempic!’ I was supposed to be the guy singing that in the commercials,” he explained.
“They wanted me to be the face of the brand. Even though it was a million dollar deal, I couldn’t do it. What they wanted from me was more than what I could give cause I was gonna do better on the road.”

Like many overweight celebrities, Iglesias did experiment with Ozempic himself and said that the drug essentially eliminated his appetite.
“I got on Ozempic for five months. Ozempic works. Ozempic is scary how good it works because it does curb your appetite to a place where you’re like, ‘Do I even need food?’ Seriously,” he explained.
The rate at which the weight returned after he stopped taking the drug, however, “scared” the comedian.
“I got off the Ozempic and immediately I gained back 20 pounds like that,” Fluffy said while snapping his fingers. “It is scary how quickly you regain the weight.
Iglesias’ most recent stand-up special, Gabriel Iglesias: Legend of Fluffy, was released on Netflix last year.
