Garrett Galvin aka Fishin’ Garrett has a gift for reptile catching that is simply unmatched. If there’s a critter, he can catch it. And his videos have become so popular you can pretty much ask anyone “you know that ‘yoink’ guy on Instagram/TikTok?” and they’ll know exactly who you are talking about.
I’m talking, of course, about the dude who caught a 16-foot anaconda in Colombia earlier this year. He’s recently been in Peru catching rainbow boas, one of the most gorgeous snake species in South America and one that’s also capable of reproducing through virgin birth.
Garrett also captured a massive anaconda while spotting some very venomous snakes like the Hemprich’s coral snake, a species I’d enver heard of until this video, and a bushmasters snake:

It really shouldn’t be taken for granted that for this guy, he was born at the perfect time in history to get paid to do exactly what he loves. He has been able to travel from his home in South Florida to all over the globe and catch animals along the way. Garrett was just in Australia yoinking saltwater crocodiles:
And when he’s not in Australia or South America he’s still finding time to catch invasive Burmese pythons here in Florida which helps protect the natural flora and fauna by stemming the growth of this snake species that’s perfectly suited to life in S.FL.
