While Hayley Atwell has already been a star for over a decade thanks to her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the jaw-dropping British actress has achieved another level of fame thanks to her scene-stealing role in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
Atwell certainly deserves the increased profile, as she not only steals the show in Dead Reckoning Part One, but she also embarked on a massive and extremely daunting-seeming press tour prior to the release of the film.
Perhaps reminiscing about her time on the road, Atwell shared a stunning photo of her wearing one of her red carpet dresses while posing in a white bathtub.
Following the success of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Atwell will next be seen reprising her role as Grace in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters next summer. Due to the ongoing actors’ strike, however, that date could change — and could even be pushed back to 2025 — in the coming months.
Additionally, Atwell is also set to voice Lara Croft in an upcoming animated Tomb Raider series at Netflix. Given her performance in Mission: Impossible, though, fans will likely begin clamoring for her to play the character in live-action, as well.
Strangely, though, that’s all that Atwell — who also recently appeared as Captain Carter (albeit in a fashion she found underwhelming) in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — is currently attached to.
Alongside Atwell, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One — which surprisingly underperformed at the box office, perhaps due to the behemoth that was “Barbenheimer” — also stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Esai Morales, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, and more.
