Wonder if you’re a green flag or a red flag Hooters customer? If you want extra attention and great service next time you go, you’ll want to consider these tips that Hooters servers say make you stand out in a good way.
In a video with over 20,ooo views, Hooters Colorado’s official TikTok page (@hooterscolorado) shares responses from several of its workers. They answer the question, “What’s your number one guest green flag?”
Many of the women share methods that drive up how much cash they take home at the end of the night. Because what server doesn’t love a paying customer?
The first server, Paige, shares that she loves when guests order shots of top shelf tequila like Clase Azul or 1942. Another says she tries to convince guests to buy a Hooters calendar so she can “show off” her co-workers who modeled in it.
“When they tip like a gentleman, and they know the game,” a server named Kelsey says with a wink.
Do You Have To Tip More To Leave An Impression?
Some of the servers share little-known suggestions to give a good impression without tipping them directly.
One woman said she notices when guests donate to one of the chain’s charity fundraisers. Others suggest that remembering the name of a server they had previously is another way to catch their attention.
But don’t be “creepy,” Paige warns. She loves when customers say they’ll come back and request to be seated in her section again. However, there’s a right way to do it.
“They say they’ll be back to see me but in a charming way and not a stalkerish way,” she clarifies.
What About Hooters Customer Red Flags?
While the Hooters Colorado servers shared how to make a great impression, other servers at the chain have also gone viral for telling customers what not to do.
One Hooters server reminded customers not to treat their servers like “strippers” in a TikTok, as previously reported by BroBible.
She told them to treat the servers like any other restaurant workers. That means no asking for numbers, no asking if they’re on the menu, and no, they’re not actually flirting with you.
Another woman on the r/AMA subreddit answered customers’ burning questions about potentially off-putting behavior. She shared that drunk customers are typically the hardest to deal with.
“The regulars will treat me nice and are usually pretty respectful, anyone who is drunk can be a pain to work with,” she wrote in a comment. “There are a few that take it too far, usually when they have one too many drinks they will be asked to leave.”
A third Hooters waiter reminded customers not to “be mean” on the r/AskReddit subreddit.
“People were sometimes really mean (more than they were pervy),” she remarked. “A non-insignificant number of guys seemed to want to be mean as sort of some revenge against ‘the hot chick’ from their high school but … I wasn’t the hot chick from their high school?”
@hooterscolorado ✅ We’re calling out some guest green flags! Clase Azul? Iconic. Donating to charity? Love that. Remembering our name without the bev nap cheat code? Unreal behavior. If you’ve ever bought a calendar just to support your fave Hooters Girl – this one’s for you. 🧡 We see you! 🫶🏼
