Celebrity Impressionist Scheiffer Bates Nails Reading ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’

As an adult, my favorite tradition on the night before Christmas involves repeatedly sneaking into the garage to pour some peppermint schnapps into my hot chocolate to help me really get into the spirit. With that said, when I was a kid, there was no better (or more obvious) Christmas Eve tradition than sitting down with the rest of my family and reading ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas (which I just discovered is officially called A Visit From St. Nicholas, because I’ve apparently been lied to my entire life).

If you have a parent who actually cares about you, they likely did their best impression of Santa during the part where he yells at all of his reindeer, but I doubt they have anything on Scheiffer Bates.

Bates has been impersonating the voices of your favorite celebrities and movie and TV characters for the past few years and has attracted a fairly sizeable YouTube following in the process. He decided to give the internet an early present this year by reading the classic poem while aping the voices of various pop culture icons in an impressive showcase of his skills.

Bates nailed the voices of impressionist staples like Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman in addition to perfectly impersonating a myriad of characters from Game of Thrones and The Lord of the RingsWhile it might not technically be part of the book, it’s also worth waiting around for his take on Kim Kardashian at the very end.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.
