This Instagram Account Is Making Fun Of How Every Finance Bro In NYC Dresses The Exact Same

The New York City Basic Bro is a long-established thing. Do you exclusively wear Patagonia Better Sweater vests over your gingham shirts and slacks, usually acquired at J. Crew or Banana Republic? Do you lunch at Sweetgreen with your fellow Bros from Credit Suisse while talking about the glory days of D-3 lacrosse at Bates College? Do you take all your first Tinder dates to The Penrose in the UES or Four Horsemen in Williamsburg because James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem owns it and you’re “a huge fan” when in reality you saw Aziz Ansari take a date there on Masters Of None? Do you spend your Saturdays slugging buckets of beers at the Frying Pan before an adventure to Bushwick on Sunday for Mister Sunday? Do you really vibe with the Axe Capital Brooks Brothers wardrobe aesthetic on SHOWTIME’s Billions?

Then you, my friend, are a ultimate basic Bro.

If you maybe once upon a time lived in Murray Hill after college and/or have a positive opinion on wearing Cole Haan loafers (“they’re a little expensive, but they’re just so comfortable and versatile at the office”), this Instagram account is for you. In fact, it’s making fun of you, but who amongst us can’t stand a little ribbing at the expense of the Chads of the world?

Midtown Uniform is an Instagram account making fun of the comical sameness of how young, affluent post-grad Bros in NYC dress. Everyone looks the same and that’s the damn point.

If you’re a fan of BROBIBLE.COM (…shameless plug for our Insta!), I think you’ll get a chuckle out of it.
