Disturbing video has surfaced showing an alleged hazing incident involving the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at the University of Iowa. The footage reportedly captures an event from November 2024, when authorities discovered 56 individuals blindfolded in the basement of the fraternity house.
In the early morning hours of November 15, 2024, Iowa City and University of Iowa police responded to a fire alarm at the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity house.
According to a report from the Iowa Press-Citizen, which cited a criminal complaint it obtained, officers discovered pledges in the fraternity’s basement blindfolded with food dumped on them. Hazing is prohibited at the University of Iowa and is classified as a misdemeanor under Iowa law.

In the video, an officer is heard asking, “Does anyone want to be forthcoming about what’s going on? Anyone? Because you’ve got to understand it from my perspective — what the hell did I just walk into?”
The footage from the Iowa Alpha Delta Phi hazing discovery is WILD.

Having pledged a fraternity at Rutgers University almost 15 years ago — YIKES! — I can tell you that what you see in this video is pretty par for the course. In fact, I’m actually a bit surprised to see that these sort of fraternal hazing traditions are still around.
Pledging a fraternity, particularly as it relates to hazing, is a complicated conversation, as participating in it is an entirely self-driven prospect: no one forces you to pledge a frat, no one forces you to stick around. At least that’s how it was when I was in college.
The hazing can be brutal, no doubt, but any decent fraternity should know where *the line* is and uphold it vigorously. And for whatever downsides there are with hazing and pledging, the upsides are undeniable: the guys that I spent those years in a frat with are now my best friends in my mid-30s.

The Epstein stuff is PG-13 compared to what fraternities do as rituals https://t.co/OqKQWvAjxR
