Jay-Z has filed to dismiss the assault lawsuit made against him and Sean “Diddy” Combs by a woman only going by the pseudonym “Jane Doe.” He also requested in his filing that his accuser be forced to reveal her name publicly.

Jay-Z, real name Sean Carter, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000. The lawsuit claims Diddy also participated in the assault while an unnamed female celebrity watched.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six on Monday, Jay-Z claims he has been the victim of an “extortionate campaign” by the accuser’s attorney Tony Buzbee.

“That campaign was cynical and calculated to force payment of an exorbitant sum of money — Defendant would have to pay X millions of dollars irrespective of the truth, or else,” the filing states. “When Defendant refused to pay and instead took measures to establish his innocence, this unnamed Plaintiff and her self-promoting counsel (whose name has been splashed across headlines and press conferences under auspices of representing her) went to extraordinary lengths to shut down fair defense.”

It continues, “These claims are not about justice for victims. Nor are they about giving victims of sexual violence a voice. Instead, they are merely the next chapter in Attorney Buzbee’s sprawling extortion saga — a saga whose aim is base and measured in dollars.”

As part of the filing, Jay-Z and his attorney Alex Spiro have asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit and for his accuser to “disclosed immediately” her identity to the public. Jay-Z’s motion also suggests that his accuser “refile her complaint with her true name.”

“Plaintiff has provided no evidence — no affidavit, declaration, or specific factual support — to establish the kind of severe harm necessary to justify pseudonymity,” the filing continued.

Jay-Z has denied all of the allegations made against him by the anonymous accuser.

Tony Buzbee, the accuser’s attorney and representative for 120 alleged victims of Diddy assaults, has claimed he and his client have been subject to a harassment campaign by Jay-Z and his team.

Buzbee told Page Six, in response to the motions filed by Jay-Z, that he “won’t get bogged down in a silly sideshow that tries to make the lawyers the focus of what are very serious allegations brought by a courageous woman.”
