Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, already worth over $3.9 billion from his position as as an heir to the Hyatt Hotels Corp. and career as a venture capitalist, added another $1.4 million to his net worth last year from gambling, according to reports.

According to a new report from The Chicago Tribune, the 60-year-old Pritzker — gearing up to run for a third-term as the governor of Illinois — shared partial tax records this week that revealed he and his wife reported over $10.3 million in taxable income last year.

Of that $10.3 million, $1.4 came from “gambling winnings,” although his campaign said the winnings and losses came from the casino and did not mention anything about sports betting.

“The 2024 tax return records showed Pritzker and his wife reported making $1.425 million in income from ‘gambling.’ Asked for additional details, the Pritzker campaign spokesperson said, ‘The Governor had winnings and losses from a casino during the year and those amounts are reported on his tax return,'” reported the Chicago Tribune.

Despite the report stating his winnings were from the casino, sports bettors on social media were still asking Pritzker to share his picks, particularly for tonight’s Thursday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you are now curious about the betting line of the Week 7 Thursday Night Football game after reading about Pritzker’s hot streak, the Steelers are favored by 5.5 points over the home team Cincinnati Bengals, who will be playing their second game with veteran QB Joe Flacco at the helm.
