Jennifer Lawrence might want to hire someone to keep track of her prescription medications. Because she revealed that on more than one occasion, she accidentally took the wrong medications while filming a movie.
The first instance of Jennifer Lawrence taking the wrong pills happened while she was filming the 2013 movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The other occurred when she was shooting the 2018 film Red Sparrow.
Lawrence made these admissions while speaking with her Don’t Look Up costar Leonardo DiCaprio during Wednesday’s episode of the Variety “Actors on Actors” series.
Jennifer Lawrence has had trouble keeping track of her meds
While Lawrence and DiCaprio were talking about bad habits they have as actors, she admitted, “You and I are both obsessive about sleep when we’re working, like counting the hours.
“When I did Red Sparrow, I took an Adderall instead of a sleeping pill, and then I didn’t sleep all night. I was taking hot showers in a panic. I am not somebody who can function without sleep.
“And then I had to say the phrase ‘Senate Armed Services Committee’ in a Russian accent. That sucked. I also once took an Ambien in the morning, thinking it was something else.”
“Those are key screwups,” Leonardo DiCaprio responded.
“It was a dance scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman on the second Hunger Games movie,” Larence continued. “I was hallucinating. Elizabeth Banks got really annoyed with me. Maybe she didn’t know that I was on an Ambien.”
Jennifer Lawrence trolls Leonardo DiCaprio over always dating young women
At another point in the conversation, Jennifer Lawrence threw some subtle shade at DiCaprio over his penchant for only dating women in their early twenties. For some reason, it was taken out of the transcript that Variety published of their discussion.
“I really loved seeing you be a dad in One Battle After Another,” Lawrence told DiCaprio (around the 9:33 mark). “I like, I’m so sad that you don’t have a teenage daughter, you look great with one.”
