Despite rumors of a pending divorce circulating for months, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez may still have some professional commitments to each other, as Affleck has produced some of Lopez’s upcoming movies.

One of those films, Unstoppable, was recently confirmed to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Given that Lopez is one of the film’s stars and Affleck one of its producers, it’s likely the pair would both attend the red carpet event at TIFF.

Unstoppable — based on the book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion — is about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles, who won a national title in the 125-pound weight class in 2011. Lopez will be playing Anthony Robles’ mother Judy.

Last week, it was reported by an alleged inside source that despite Lopez being Affleck’s “dream girl,” part of the reason that their marriage hasn’t worked out is because it has been “drama all the time.”

“Jennifer was Ben’s dream woman. It was drama all the time. He’s feeling down about it and is upset and depressed it didn’t work out, even though he knows ending it is the right thing to do,” the source said.

“Jennifer has a big entourage that follows her around daily — glam squad, videographers, photographers, assistants, trainers. She’s tried to make Ben understand that being Jennifer Lopez is a 24/7 job. She is her brand, she lives and breathes it while Ben can leave his work at the door if he chooses to.”

In addition to Unstoppable, Affleck’s production company Artists Equity is also producing Lopez’s upcoming film Kiss of the Spider-Woman.

Since being co-founded in 2022 by Affleck and longtime friend Matt Damon, Artists Equity has also produced Air, Kiss The Future, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Small Things Like These, and the upcoming films The Instigators and The Accountant 2.

Unstoppable, directed by William Goldenberg, also stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.
