Pop star and actress Jennifer Lopez killed two birds with one stone over Labor Day Weekend by using a thirst trap photo to publicly address her divorce for the first time.

After officially filing for divorce on August 20, Jennifer Lopez took to social media to share a cheeky post (in both senses of the word), as she slyly addressed her divorce and simultaneously showed off what her new ex-husband Ben Affleck will now be missing.

“Oh, it was a summer,” Lopez wrote on both Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.

After getting married in Las Vegas in July 2022, Affleck and Lopez officially filed for divorce after just two years of marriage in late August.

The divorce capped off a difficult year for Lopez as she also canceled the entirety of her summer tour. While Lopez pinned the cancellation on spending time with her children, industry experts speculate that low ticket sales played a role.

Next month, Lopez’s latest movie Unstoppable — her second film of the year following the Netflix sci-fi Atlas — will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this month. A biopic about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles, Unstoppable was produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity. While reports indicate that Damon will be at the TIFF premiere alongside Lopez, Affleck will not.

Unstoppable features Jharrel Jerome in the lead role of Anthony Robles alongside Lopez, Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and Michael Pena. The film will have a limited theatrical release in December before streaming on Prime Video. At this time, Amazon has not announced when Unstoppable will hit Prime Video, nor has a trailer been released.
