The indictment and arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and beyond.

Given how many celebrities and notable people — actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, executives — crossed paths with Diddy over the years, those relationships are now being re-examined in the public eye.

One celebrity who’s reportedly sweating Diddy’s arrest is Jennifer Lopez, who dated the disgraced and allegedly criminal rapper and producer from 1999 to 2001.

According to reports from Daily Mail, Lopez is on ‘high alert’ regarding Diddy’s arrest, particularly as it relates to the pair’s links to an infamous nightclub shooting in December 1999.

“Jennifer Lopez is on ‘high alert’ over a fear a nightclub shooting where she was arrested will be re-opened as [her] ex Diddy is charged,” according to the Daily Mail.

“The singer’s management team is preparing a plan in case she gets dragged into the ongoing criminal investigations into her ex Sean ‘Diddy Combs, who she dated between 1999 and 2001. Lopez, along with Diddy, was arrested on December 27, 1999, over the shooting of Natania Reuben and two others outside the Times Square Club in Manhattan.”

Lopez and Diddy were detained and spent 14 hours in a jail cell after authorities found a gun in the car they fled the scene of the shooting in. While Lopez was released and cleared, Diddy was charged with four weapons-related charges, although he was later found not guilty.

“Sources close to the star said ‘Everyone that was ever connected with Diddy is now going to be looked at, and Jen has people looking into it all.'”

Lopez has been making tabloid headlines all year due to her drawn-out divorce from Ben Affleck, which became official in late August.
