After canceling a handful of August dates earlier this year, Jennifer Lopez has canceled the entirety of her ‘This Is Me… Live’ tour.

In a statement on her website, Jennifer Lopez says that the decision to axe all of her tour dates was made so she can spend more time with her family.

However, earlier this year, it was reported that Lopez had to cancel a handful of August dates in the Midwest and the South due to low ticket sales. Lopez and her team even tried to rescue the situation by pivoting the concert to be more of a greatest hits show, rebranding the tour as This Is Me… Live/The Greatest Hits.

LiveNation, in its own statement about the tour cancelation that’s posted on Lopez’s website, said that “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” Lopez said. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together agan. I love you all so much. Until next time…”

Given that Lopez was forced to cancel dates in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston due to low ticket sales, it’s possible that the decision was made to pull the plug on the entire tour and try to spin it by claiming she needed more family time.

Lopez has been enduring a difficult year both professionally and personally, as there have also been rumors swirling that she and her husband Ben Affleck are headed for divorce.

Additionally, the reviews for her album and Prime Video movie This Is Me… Now were underwhelming, as was the reception to her new Netflix movie Atlas, which has been on the receiving end of some of the year’s harshest reviews so far. Movie fans also felt that Atlas looked as though it was created by artificial intelligence.

While Lopez may be canceling her tour, she still might find herself back in the spotlight later this year as her newest movie Unstoppable — which is about one-legged wrestler Anthony Robles and produced by Affleck (awkward!) — wrapped filming in January, which would put it on track for either a Fall or Winter 2024 release.
