Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael wasn’t worried about making people uncomfortable during the awards show.
On Tuesday night, Carmichael made the actors/ actresses and everyone in attendance at the Golden Globes squirm in their seats with his jokes.

After returning from a commercial break, Carmichael took a shot at Tom Cruise and his role in promoting Scientology.
Here’s Carmichael making a joke about how Cruise should exchange the Golden Globes gave back to the Hollywood Foreign Press in exchange for the missing Shelly Miscavage.
“Backstage, I found these three Golden Globe awards that Tom Cruise returned…I think maybe we take these three things and exchange them for the safe return of Shelly Miscavige.”

For those that don’t know Shelly Miscavige, who mysteriously went missing 15 years ago, is the wife of Scientology leader David Miscagive. David Miscavige also happens to be good friends with Tom Cruise.
