Jessica Alba revealed during a discussion of her acting at the Red Sea Film Festival that there is one scene she regrets doing in a movie. That scene occurred when she was playing Sue Storm in the 2005 version of Fantastic Four.

Calling it her “least favorite scene” in Fantastic Four, Jessica Alba recalled having to appear completely naked. In the film, Sue Storm didn’t yet have clothing that matched her invisibility skill, so she had to strip down for it to be effective.

“I thought that was awful,” Alba said. “It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I am a pretty modest person. I dreaded that scene for weeks. I have a lot of whiplash from those days.”

Exactly which scene she is referring to isn’t 100 percent clear. At no point in the film was she actually naked, but it could be the scene where she and her brother Johnny Storm switch powers. That, however, was in the sequel, Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer.

As far as the Fantastic Four movie goes, the bridge scene where Jessica Alba had to be in her underwear while doing a scene on a bridge is as close to naked as she gets.

Jessica Alba doesn’t regret doing ‘Fantastic Four’ though

Despite her misgivings about whatever scene she was referring to, Jessica Alba enjoyed playing Sue Storm. According to Variety, she “loved” how the character broke gender stereotypes perpetuated in superhero and action films at the time.

“She was a woman I looked up to,” said Alba, calling her “very maternal and very kind, but also not a pushover; she spoke her mind.”

Alba continued, “She had a great moral compass. No matter who you are, you can look up to her. Oftentimes, the women in these stories need to be saved by a guy or the villain, the problem in the story. This was back then. It’s different now.”
