An actress who previously featured in the iconic Harry Potter movie franchise is joining the popular adult content subscription service OF to pay her bills. The actress is Jessie Cave, who appeared in three Harry Potter films as the character Lavender Brown.

Cave, 37, years old, last appeared in a movie when she featured in 2018 British film Benjamin and last appeared in a TV show in 2022, when she popped up in an episode of the HBO/Sky Atlantic series The Baby.

In the Harry Potter franchise, Cave starred as Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2.

On a recent episode of her podcast, the actress announced she was joining the platform in order to make some extra money.

“I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself. To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet. To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love,” Cave said on her podcast, Before We Break Up Again.

“Were my years of Harry Potter conventions in fact research? [It fees] like I’m doing something naughty, something a little f—– up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book.”

Cave clarified that her videos will not be sexually explicit but will be videos aimed at those with hair fetishes — “It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual,” she added.

On her Substack blog, Cave added that she has the intention of posting content on the site for a year in order to make enough money to “get out of debt” and fix up her house.

“One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love,” she wrote.

Warner Bros., who own the cinematic rights to Harry Potter, are currently developing an adaptation of the beloved books into an HBO series that’s being designed to run for a decade, with John Lithgow (Professor Dumbledore), Paapa Essiedu (Professor Snape) and Janet McTeer (Professor McGonagall) being the first three actors cast. At this time, the series is expected to premiere sometime in the latter half of 2026.
